The Association for the Survivors of the Shubenacadie Indian Residential School react to the announcement that former students of residential schools across Canada will be compensated for the abuse and neglect they all suffered while attending such schools.
Nora Bernard of the Millbrook First Nation in N.S. is the president of the association. Doug Knockwood of the Indian Brook First Nation in N.S. is a member of the association’s board of directors.
