
Maureen Googoo is an award-winning journalist, media trainer and university lecturer from the Indian Brook First Nation in Nova Scotia.
Maureen has more than 23 years of experience working as a reporter and editor in print, radio, television and online news. She has worked for media outlets such as CBC, the Chronicle-Herald and the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.
In September 2009, Maureen launched her own news website, RadioGoogoo.ca, dedicated to covering aboriginal issues in Atlantic Canada.
Maureen currently lives in Halifax, N.S. with her husband, Stephen.
