Maureen Googoo is an award-winning journalist, media trainer, university lecturer and entrepreneur from the Indian Brook First Nation in Nova Scotia.

Maureen has more than 24 years of experience working as a reporter, editor and producer in print, radio, television and online news. She has worked for media outlets such as CBC Radio, the Chronicle-Herald and the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.

Maureen runs her own news website, RadioGoogoo.ca, dedicated to covering aboriginal issues in Atlantic Canada.

She lives in Halifax, N.S. with her husband, Stephen.
